When first creating an activity, its properties must be set.  These can be edited later using the left sidebar in the Activity Editor.  They will be confirmed when the activity is being launched.

The Activity Properties include the Activity Name; Activity Type (Real-Time or Self Paced); the Login Type to be used for this Activity; the Group to which the Activity is assigned, and the Activity "Owner".

Launching the Activity will create a unique "running" copy of the Activity with fixed properties which cannot be edited.  To make changes to a running activity it is necessary to end that activity, make the changes in the Activity Editor, and relaunch the activity.
