Following hard on the heels of the April release of scored numeric response questions, Xorro has released a simple scoring template for its text response question type. Scoring is achieved by comparing the response with a pre-determined string of text. Try these questions to see how it works….
For now, the match must be perfect (including punctuation, spaces and capitalisation). Xorro plans to progressively extend this over coming months, for example supporting multiple possible correct strings; allowing options to ignore capitals, ignore punctuation or ignore spaces, and perhaps “fuzzy” scoring around partial matching.
